I have attended the clinic for various injuries over the past few years, and have been treated by both of the senior osteopaths, Wendy and Jo. Their holistic approach has helped me to manage my recovery from some pretty difficult injuries, I have found both of them really professional and determined to get to the bottom of the problems - none of which has been straightforward.
They have both used a variety of techniques on me over the years, and I have always felt comfortable with them. One thing I have always been impressed with is their willingness to change their approach on the rare occasions when the initial method isn't bringing about the desired results as quickly as they'd hoped. When they do this they always discuss the reasons behind any changes in my treatment and explain the expected outcomes, and up to now their prognoses have been spot on!
All in all, a great service from a lovely group of people. I would heartily recommend the clinic to anyone.

I have suffered with years of back pain. I had seen physiotherapies, doctors, consultants, osteopaths but no-one could find a “real” problem with my back. I was upset but determined not to give up as the problem got a lot worse in my pregnancies and I was unable to walk properly or get down on the floor and play with my children. I was very limited on what I could do.
I saw Blackwater clinic in the local pages, so I rang them up and got to see Jo. Straight away I knew this was going to be different visit from any other visits I had in the past. She measured my legs (which no-one else had ever done) and found that I had one leg shorter than the other, not by a lot but enough to make me off balance and cause some of my back problems. After further examination she had discovered the problem and referred me to Wendy for treatment. This treatment has been on-going as I have had years of problems, its taken about 6 years to sort out, but now, although my back will never be right, its manageable and I only have to see Wendy now and again. I now go to the gym which is something I never thought I would be able to do and I have a bicycle too!
I am really grateful and lucky to have found a clinic that is so professional and caring in what they do.

As the result of a misspent youth and advancing years I have accumulated a number of aches and pains which, without the regular ministration of Chris (Drew) and Wendy, would make life miserable. However, with their care and support I am able to enjoy a very active life - even getting my Scuba diving certificate at the vast age of 62!
I also took advantage of hypnotherapy sessions with Chris when I returned to office life after many years of working from home. I had lost a great deal of confidence but a couple of sessions with Chris and I was ready to fight the good fight.
I would never hesitate in recommending Blackwater Clinic - it is a centre of excellence.
In addition, I would also highly recommend the Hidden Hearing service. I recently had a hearing test with them (which is free) and was very impressed as to how detailed it was.

We are moving to Wales and dread the thought of not being able to access the Blackwater Clinic for treatment.
We have both been patients for many years and Jo (and Wendy) have eased our painful backs, frozen shoulders and heel spurs during that time. Jo has a wide knowledge of local specialists should further referrals be necessary and works closely with them to achieve the best result. We are so grateful for all she has done.
The clinic is a cheerful, happy place and the staff are wonderful. An appointment is usually available very quickly in times of need. We doubt we will find such a competent place again and will journey back to Essex, if necessary. That says it all!
